Do you take walk-ins, or do I need to book?
Walk-ins are always welcome whenever a chair is free, but appointments take priority. We strongly recommend booking online via Kitomba to guarantee your chair time without waiting.
Are you open on Sundays?
Yes. Ponsonby is open Sunday from 9am to 4pm. Open seven days. Sunday opening is uncommon among Auckland barbers, so it is worth knowing.
Can I book a specific barber?
Yes. Choose your preferred barber in the Kitomba booking system when reserving, or use the booking button on a barber's card above.
What happens if I cancel or don't turn up?
Cancelling within 90 minutes of the booked time is charged at 50% of the service. A no-show without notice is charged at 100%. If it happens more than twice, we are no longer able to take bookings.
Do you cut women's hair?
Yes. Clients of all genders are welcome. At Ponsonby, our craft focuses on classic barbering, short scissor styles, and skin fades.
