A skin fade at Tokoya is $55 and takes 45 minutes. The sides are taken down to bare skin and blended up through the guards so there is no visible line between lengths.
Choosing your fade height
- Low Fade: Drops behind the ears and stays close to the natural hairline, providing a subtle, classic graduation that is easy to wear in corporate settings.
- Mid Fade: Sits comfortably above the ears and follows the occipital ridge, delivering balanced contrast and strong profile definition.
- High Fade: Begins high on the temples and crown, creating bold, athletic contrast that draws maximum focus to the styled hair on top.
Technique & upkeep
Each skin fade is executed using balding clippers and hypoallergenic foil shavers down to bare skin, followed by seamless guard blending and crisp outline detailing with a straight razor. Because bare-skin fades grow out noticeably within days, clients who want to maintain zero-gap sharpness typically rebook every 2 to 3 weeks.
